Halloween is not the only thing to look forward to — Prime Day is happening in October and is said to be much better than it was in July. We are ready and hope you are too. Prime Day is one of our favorite days because it's been extended in recent years.

Now is the time to decide what you want to possibly purchase on that day. Sure, there will be last-minute things you think of, but planning ahead will help you be more strategic. If you are a saver, this will help you in the long run.

When is Prime Day in October?

This year's Prime Day will be Tuesday, October 7th and Wednesday, October 8th. Did you know Prime Day was only 24 hours when it started? Now it’s 48 hours, and some deals could go beyond that. The first Prime Day was July 15, 2015, in celebration of Amazon’s 20th Anniversary.

What are the best categories to shop on Prime Day?

Tech (Echo, Fire TV, Kindles), home goods, beauty, fashion, and small business products often dominate sales.

What Other Sales Happen on Prime Day?

While Amazon Prime Day is going on, stores like Walmart, Best Buy, and Target will also have deals. We recommend using a browser tool such as Honey to compare prices.
